She [Michele Hanson] also saw Dima Yeremenko, dog trainer, and his students performing and dancing with dogs on Hampstead Heath: "Brilliant. I am off to dog boot camp to learn how."

Sassie "Sassie", Scotland:
“Traditional dog training books show you how to push your dog into a sit, how to yank the leash to stop him pulling, and force him to do what he's told. Dima Yeremenko, founder of the highly-acclaimed Good Boy Dog School, presents a radically different approach in this groundbreaking book. It's about convincing your dog to act in a positive and pleasing manner by communicating with him - by learning to speak dog.
This is the claim on the fly-leaf of the book which captured my interest immediately! I tried and tested method, explained in a 5-step programme and all my problems solved. Enough to attract the attention of any dog owner/trainer.
This book took me completely by surprise, I had heard of Dima previously as his school is mentioned in a book by Trevor Grove - One Dog and His Man. However I hadn't heard that he had written a book on training. From the mention given by Trevor Grove I expected something slightly different but this book gave that and more. Highly recommended.
Dima writes as though he is conversing with a friend, the book is very reader-centred and holds your interest from page one. Although I felt that Dima knew what he was talking about, he didn't try to blind me with science, he explained things in detail and I felt that I could quite easily have picked up the phone and asked him a question - I felt I knew him and that he would be interested in my progress!”

...A Perfect Day organiser Fiorella Massey said: "Dima is quite extraordinary. You see him walking up on the Heath and he is quite literally surrounded by dogs and they are completely mesmerised by him. They are totally in his thrall and with just a wave or a word or whatever he has them absolutely eating out of his hand.
He is a regular sight on the Heath and it is fabulous that he is coming to our festival. Everybody knows Dima."...

“One of the best dog training books I have read (and I’ve read A LOT) - interesting, written fantastically and charming. Basic training lessons that although not all his own are beneficial to any dog owner whether their dog has a behavioural problem or just a need to enforce the bond between man and best friend. The author has a way of bringing the confidence up, after reading this book I felt inspired and able.
Invaluable if you own a dog!”

...The combination of a gigantic Irish setter and a small sixth-floor flat meant Dima had to learn to train his new pet. Fast.
The training regime was so successful that by the time he was 15 Dima was an official dog trainer in his native Ukraine.
In 1992 he moved to England to study – and eventually set up his own dog training school. He now retrains rescue dogs for the RSPCA and the Battersea Dogs Home as well as running the Good Boy Dog School...

The Telegraph, 4 July 2004
...This book, co-written with Emily Randolph (owner of a once madly aggressive Jack Russell, now a model of friendliness), is in part a training manual (written in a manner far removed from the parade-ground tones of Barbara Woodhouse) and in part a shrewd analysis of the human-canine relationship, which Dima simplifies to an almost disconcerting degree...
Its publication is urgently needed... explains logically and humanely how dog and owner can [live] in contented, stress-free symbiosis...

With no choke chains, no leads and no raised voices, Dima Yeremenko has revolutionised the way we train and interact with our canine buddies. Jane Wright catches up with him on Hampstead Heath...

"This book was such a surprise! I expected it to be a very serious and boring training book like all the rest are, but this was so much fun! Finally someone has devised an inspiring way to train dogs - fun for owners and their dogs. And all the dog stories are so adorable. I will read it several times for the pure enjoyment of it.
Thank you Dima Yeremenko! I hope the whole world gets to read your book."

"I have had such problems with my dogs, but after reading Dima's book I feel very confident that finally I have what I need to get their cooperation. It is a fast and fun read and has lots of practical and unique tips for solving your dog's individual problems. I am now a true convert to The Good Boy Dog School - and every owner and their dog should attend by reading this book. You'll enjoy it thoroughly."
Franz, London:
“This is a charming book filled with wonderful dog stories and training advice. It reads wonderfully - very fast - and all dog lovers, whether their dog needs training or not, will enjoy it thoroughly. It has many funny bits that me laugh out loud.
Dima Yeremenko's Hand Feeding technique is really helpful. Already in just a few days, my dog is beginning to look to me for guidance whereas before she ignored me! I have been to lots of trainers with little success. Dima's advice is spot on and very practical. At last, a trainer who can help us all to turn our dogs into star pupils - no matter how young, old or badly behaved.
I am delighted to recommend this book. 5-stars!”
